Set amidst the beautiful Cairngorm Mountains, Tomintoul is the highest village in Scotland. The Gordon Hotel offers a high degree of comfort at extremely affordable prices. It was completely refurbished in 1996, and no expense was spared.
The bedrooms are very much in the traditional Scottish style, with plenty wood panelling evident. All rooms have en suite, colour TV, trouser press and courtesy trays. Several family suites are available.
The Cromdale restaurant serves beautiful food, with a separate vegetarian menu. The restaurant is well furnished with solid oak tables and uses crystal glassware. Also, the Gordon Hotel has a comfortable cocktail lounge with open fire, a bar offering a range of unusual malts and several conference rooms. Due to its proximity to the Lecht, The Gordon Hotel is an ideal base for Skiing breaks. There are no Superior Rooms at this hotel. Rooms can be accommodated in the Gordon Hotel or the Richmond House just across the road.
