The beautifully restored Tulloch Castle Hotel dates back to the 12th Century. Mary Queen of Scots, and many other rich and famous guests have stayed in this imposing fortress. Its elevated position proudly guards Dingwall, and the views of the surrounding area are magnificent. Many of the ancient Tulloch Castle features still exist, including the Dungeons and the original mantlepiece with its roaring open fire. The Green Lady Bar - with its own ghost, and, on occasion, the hotel will organise a ghost tour - , Oak Room and The Great Hall are very traditional, with ornate ceilings and wood panelling, and the food is excellent - skillfully prepared by one of the Highlands' top chefs - in the exquisite new restaurant. The bedchambers, most refurbished in traditional style, befit a castle - spacious, comfortable, full of character and all come with private facilities, TV and tea/coffee makers.
